Painting OF your car?

I didnt know where to put this, or even if it belongs on this forum, but here goes.
i paint cars on canvas. paintings OF your cars, and i thought it would be a good idea for the owners/builders to be in the picture with the car. kind of like a portrait of you, with what you built. and it could be something you hang in your garage or even take to shows. ive painted a few different cars that i personally think turned out great, and i have sold a few also. i was just wondering if anybody in here would be willing to pay for something along these lines? i havent seen this done before, and i was thinking about painting a dozen or so nice old Rods, and stry and take them to a local car show and see if anybody would be interested. and if anybody was slighhty interested, i could snap a few pics of the paintings i've done that i have hanging up around here by my computer. (a 57 chevy and a 54 corvette)
Just wanna hear your guys opinions.
thanks alot

Cool idea. Not that I'm the portrait type but still a cool concept.
I believe your post would get more response in the "General" forum.
Ask a Mod to move it for you.

Good idea

Get some work done and get a small vendor spot at some of the local shows...you may be on to something.. After all Von Dutch and others got started that way..

i took some pictures of the two paintings i have sitting in my room. one is a blue 54 corvette that i am still working on. (if you look at the painting, you'll see that most of it's done except i still have work on the front bumper and shadows. the picture that i am painting it from had big, ugly bumper brackets on it, and i didnt like them, so ive been trying to paint just the regular bumper.) and the other picture is a 57 chevy convertable with me and my girlfriend standing next to it. i got the picture to do this painting from an Old GM add, where it looks liek a guy is walking a girl to her car, holding her books. i just painting a picture of my girlfriend to replace the girls head, and i made the guy taller(i am 6'6) and put my face on him. i attached the pictures, one of the corvette, and 3 of the chevy. i put a type of clear coat/glossy protectant over the 57 chevy so it was hard to take a picture of it without getting a glare. so i took a picture of it with the flash, and i took a pic without the flash, but it makes it looks really blurty. then i scanned in a DETAIL of the two people sitting standing next to the car so you can see how they look up close. and you have to remember, the painting is 18x24 inches, so the people are only about 6 inches tall, so i think i got pretty good detail in there for being so small. and also, i am only able to upload 3 files at a time, so the post under this one will have the Detail picture of the people.
please leave any feedback or critisism if you can.
thanks alot

at the moment, i am painting a picture of a 65 corvair convertable for my local corvair club's raffle prize at the upcoming Great Western Fan Belt Toss( a corvair swap meet in october)
i think if i do a pretty good job on that, and people see it there, then my name might get out, and hey, maybe someone would pay me to do something i love to do. lol
