paints!!??

Hi everybody, im going to paint the back of the seats of my roadrunner, they are hard plastic and screw right into the seat, does anyone know what type of paint to use on these? Im also going to do my dash and my vents...again paint type? also does anyone know the best black paint to use on the engine bay(i cant afford the correct body color paint) and how do I paint the tires and drums correctly considering heating and flaking problems..possibly use an etching primer first? Any ideas are appreciated.

For the hard plastic, I like the rattle can paint by Krylon. Use the Semi-Flat. It works well for engine bay stuff too.

For the dash, you need paint designed for vinyl. Again, Krylon makes that and it is pretty good quality.

I assume you meant wheels and not tires. Rattle can paints will work, but are not the best for this as it will chip easily. Urethanes are better but will require a compressor and spray gun. Having them powder coated is the best option.

For brake drums, look at some products designed for this kind of heat from Eastwood.

SEM
It will last as long as OEM and they have good match's for the Mopar stuff.
The Semi Gloss Krylon is a good match for Chrysler's semi flat black.
As long as the suspension parts are CLEAN. A good single stage will work but considering they were bare to begin with...... The hight temp spray can stuff will last awhile. There is a reason brake drums were bare. They get HOT.LOL..

Check over at Moparts.org for the "correct" stuff.
