Having never used this space age miracle I have a couple of questions for you guys.

Will it adhere to the pot metal/aluminum that a early GM sport mirror is made of?
Will it bond to plastic?
Will it bond the aformentioned metal to the plastic?

I am not concerned about seeing the bond joint, it will be hidden inside the mirror housing.

What is the best material to use?

I don't know of which you speak, but some of the toughest adhesive around is urethane windshield adhesive. It'll pretty much stick anything to anything.

Either do I! lol.
I know there are a number of different structural adhesives on the market, but have no knowledge about them.
