Panel truck reverse light

Hi all,
Working on a 56 ford panel truck. It didn't come with a factory backup light, was thinking about installing one somewhere with a manual switch at the dash...any ideas or pics are welcome,
Thanks,
James

That's a good looking truck, I see no reason why you can't do what you would like to do. The tough part will be finding something that looks good on the back of that truck. Maybe something under the bumper that will shine back, might even put 2 lights under there for better lighting. Just a thought.

Thanks Dinger. Yeah, thinking about putting a cheap fog light under the rear somewhere. or maybe modifiying the tag lamp housing to put a small, rear-facing light in that...??didn't really think about it until the lokar shifter referenced neutral safety or backup lights...Either way, not a big deal, (till I need one..lol)...

Painless wiring makes a switch that can be used as either a neutral safety switch or as a backup switch. Summit and jegs sell it I think.

thanks, I actually have a time-period switch they used for fog lights in the 40-50s that I can mount under dash...really interested in a good mounting location for the light itself...that doesn't look too cheesy.
