Panther Pink Mopar paint?

I asked a guy on Moparts forum about what he used for a primer sealer under his base coat before shooting his panther pink paint on his mopar. The response I got was,
"The primer is grey. The key is to tint the iridescent sealer with single stage color just before you paint. I used PPG for all the products on the car, talk to your local automotive PPG distributor they will be helpful."

First off, PPG is out of my league price wise. Second, I have no idea what he is talking about with the iridecent sealer. What the heck is that?
My intent was to shoot the car with Slicksand G2 and then seal it with SPI grey or white epoxy primer. Then shoot the BC/CC. Can epoxy be tinted?

Epoxy, No. SPI has a tintable sealer that you could use. It is tintable with only the tints off a mixing machine. I would just seal it with white epoxy and go straight with the panther pink.

I'll second that...But if you really want to save so cash just wet sand with 600 the gray primer and don't seal at all and use single stage, you cant tell the difference with solid colors...

These guys make a nice 2K sealer I have used.

I'm sure they can make you a pink sealer if you ask. If you had a pink sealer it would show less stone chips in the future.

Yes, I have used a lot of their products now. A customer requested one of their colors last summer so I bought some and used it and was real pleased.
I use them whenever I can because they work well and are very affordable. I love the basecoat and the clears and primers are nice also. I think I could stay busy just doing chameleon jobs on tuners with their KonFusion stuff because it looks cool and is affordable. It is catching on around here.

I have spoken to the chemist several times and he is always real helpful and even has made some special colors for me. The way he explained it they make their own paint and sell it direct on the internet so they have a lot less overhead. I think his phone number is listed on their specialty line website at www.kemfx.com. They have a lot of cool stuff. Not all of it is listed on their sites even.
