Hey my parking brake is stuck on my 88' bronco II. Stuck as in I can't engage it. I need this working to pass inspection. All of the parts are intact so I can't see if a cable is rusted to the jacket. I sprayed wd 40 on the "lubrication points" as specified in a repair manual. It didn't do anything. Please help!

Can you look under the bronco and see if the line is catching on anything? It seems kinda odd that the pedal would not move at all. Check where it meets the brakes to insure it is not rusted tight there. Might be a good idea to take a wire brush and push all point where it meets metal and spray with WD40.

at the brake eh?
I'll pull the wheels and drums off this weekend and take a look. If this is the problem, then It would help me by not having to replace all three cables.

I am betting that, at least your front cable is seized....maybe all three. They aren't that expensive and if you are replacing one, you might as well do them all. If one works good and the other side is 1/2 seized, you parking brake won't work worth a darn.

Well I looked at where the cable meets the rear brakes on both sides. They're not rusted. Other parts of the cables however have rust poking out from under the jackets. I sprayed good ol wd 40 on it and wire brushed the hell out of the parts, but it stil didn't work. I know now that at least one of the cables is rusted to the inside of the jacket. Now I just have to have a fun time finding the little jerk of a cable.
