Ok, here is my search. I went to Google and typed in patch panels 1962 chevy impala

Hit the button that says "Google search" and got this.

Click here to see Google search results

And found this at the top of the list (click on the link) Impala Parts | Classic Industries

Then down the list is a button for "Body Panels" and go this (click on the link) http://www.classicindustries.com/imp...?p=1&sb=0&r=15

Then down to the button marked "Fenders" to get this (click on link). http://www.classicindustries.com/imp...?p=1&sb=0&r=15

And found that there are no 1962 patch panels, WTH? Ok, are they the same as 1961? I notice that there are no 1960 ones either, are they the same as 59, why would they not say this? Hmmmm. I will go to another site and see.

WOW, I go to this site. (click on link) Fender*-*Body Panels*-*Impala Bob's, Inc.

And I find that there are no 1962! He has some good used fenders, but no patch panels, WILD.

After a little searching I find no patch panels are available for your 1962 Chevy, I am blown away, wild.

Ok, it looks like you are going to be making some from scratch. Post over in the Body forum here at Hotrodders and there you will get help with doing that.

Depending on what portion of your fender drops are in need of repair, you could get '61 patch panels and cut out the portion you need. If your wheelwell opening is bad, then the shape of the opening will be a problem, and you'll have to fab up the panel, or that edge.
I never have understood why patch panels for a '62 would not be as commonly offered as a '61.
