Im in the process of gathering parts to do a 5.0 HO swap in my Maverick. I have all the major parts i need to do the swap,Motor, tranny, rear,Harness, obc exc. Is there anything else i would need to do this swap ? Im going with a auto and floor shift and i have figured out the problem with the Firewall to shock tower braces ... Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated ....

if it was me, I`d go with a 351W, parts for it and a 302 cost the same, and you get the benefit of more torque and more cubes. just my 2 cents.

Mav- I did the same swap in my 65 mustang back 1990 when there was almost no help available. The problems were many but the result was worth it and I still drive the car today.I had a donor car to work from and I would strongly recomend that route if at all possible as many of the small parts that you will need will be much easier to locate.
