Post Parts Suppliers

My window handle plopped onto the floor the other day ('54 Chevy pickup) ... the retaining clip must've broken or fell on the floor somewhere (I haven't searched for it yet) and I'm on the web trying to find a supplier for door handles, window handles, and such interior parts -- but, you know how it goes ... I can't find anything anywhere!

Argh!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Where can I buy some replacement clips ... are there any cool interior parts suppliers on the web? Or do I just go to a local auto shop?

Thanks.

You should be able to get those c-clips pretty cheap at a parts store in a package that says HELP! on it. They also should have the tool that slips behind the handles to easily remove them, and the clip stays on the handle. VERY handy tool!!!

NAPA auto parts has the clips and also an assortment of generic window cranks and door handles if you don't need anything orignal and just need good function and no long shipping wait.

Thanks, Croz

I discovered the handle had an Allen-screw in the side ... all I had to do was tighten it!

Once again, the Hotrodder's Bulletin Board passes on a good harvest of knowledge regarding a problem for stock parts for a vehicle that had non-stock parts installed which then keyed the guy with the problem to look and see what he had and fix it!
Lots of great information, advice, and genuine help out there! Ain't this great?

Alan: I buy those clips by the hundred from NAPA auto parts. PM me and I'll send you some. (how's that for friendly and eager to help?)
