Pass Time /Bradenton Motorsports Park

Saw it on the tube the last couple nights. My old stomping ground. Lots of good times. Allways fun.

I use to watch that show all the time but the more I watched it, the more it seemed like it is staged with Ken Herring winning most of the time. He claims to be a chassis guy but his times are way off at first until the end when the big money starts changing hands then he magically gets it right and wins. Kinda lost interest.

I like the show. But if you google "Texas Chassisworks" there's not much info about products.

I wondered about Ken. He is allways on pass time and never at the chassis shop...?? I wasnt sure if his shop had guys who ran it in his absence or what.
He does seem to win a LOT on passtime, but he is allways over at pinks as well and is part of the the track co ordination system there, so he gets to see a lot of cars run and probably draws on his experience from that to name the time.
The B Town Motorsports track used to be the Tom Stimus Dragway. Tom Stimus was a lot like Cal Worthington, a huge car dealer in B town New and used, only Tom did not have a dog.
He gave an awful lot to childrens charities and Tom was the kind of guy who could meet you once , then see you Ten years later and greet you buy name.
I have a few friends that have ran there machines at the dragway, but it has been 8-9 years since then . I miss it at times as there isnt much to do in the wintertime here in North east Pa in the winter. I am not into snowmobiling.

I watch it once in a while,, I kinda figured it was fixed also,,, they need some way of regaining that money, insted of letting someone walk off with a couple grand every show,,
what ever happened to the Pinks show,, where the winner walked off with the losers car? I heard that there was a big blowup at a couple of the races where the loser didn't want to give up his car, of something like that,,, most always complained about the armdrop start,,

The arm drop is too fallable. Red green or yellow is pretty much spot on.
2 greens equal a fair start, someones own interpretation of when to start a run based on... "when the arm is where?" doesnt cut it.
No venue should impose a winner takes the losers car, that is just wrong and sends a real bad message, keeps people from competing and can promote a real nasty attitude from some competitors.
Best thing is to keep it real, keep it easy, have some prizes, even if only a few bucks, that way it can be a lot more fun.
Mama allways said ...dont bet more than your willing to lose. That shouldnt be allowed to get in the way of fun and friendly competition.
This stuff costs enough as it is.
The finest show of sportsmanship is the guy who raced the white monte and lost, the winner told him to keep his car, he didnt want to take it from him, he was just there to have a fun time. A true gentleman.
