Patch Panel
When fabricating a patch panel, what gauge metal do you use? I've used anything from 16 to 24 but just wanted some of your thoughts. Also, is bare steel used or is galvanized ok? Keep in mind that some bondo will be used over it! Thanks

I have always matched up the patch panel gauge to the material being patched. I use bare steel vs. galvanized, eliminate as much bondo as possible. Welding on galvanized can produce some nasty fumes.

yeah you don't want to cut galvanized with act/oxy torches either
