Patriot Headers H8013

I would like some opinions on these headers. I am stuck using them. I bought a rack and pinion steering for my 1967 Camaro several years ago. Unisteer 1967-69 Camaro Rack and Pinion Kits 8000770-01 - SummitRacing.com. I had Hooker Super Comps 2 1/8" installed at the time. Well I was having problems with the steering shafts binding. I tried everything. As a last resort I called Unisteer and explained my problem. The tech guy says we used Patriot Headers H8013 1 7/8 tubing on mock up. Of course they didn't let you know all this at the time I purchased the Rack and Pinion. But any way let me know what your opinions are using them on a 496 stroker engine.

Obviously wouldn't be your first choice. If the S/C headers cannot be made to fit, use as gentle of a mandrel bend (large radius) coming off the end of the headers as possible and keep the pipes at least 3" to minimize the potential losses from using them.

Sure sucks though. On a 496, this could cost you quite a bit depending on the combo.
