patriot heads

A buddy of mine of mine is tellin me to use some patriot heads that are 2.08 valves nd they are aluminum. I was jus wondering what people think about these heads going on a 383 stroker...are they good heads to use. Cus summit has a deal on them nd they are in my price range for aluminum heads with 2.08 valves.
Thanx

maybe you dont need even those cheaper patriots? what are you building? and egine costs are about the same no matter if its blue printed stock or a little warmed up. Machining is the same, both engines get a new cam and bearings and pistons and gaskets, rebuilt heads are part way to improved heads, perhaps just cleaning up what you have is enough with a slightly bigger cam. better ignition is required for high perf,,,,what ya trying to make?

We went over the set up with summit they sai i shud perform 650hp. 208 aluminum 64cc heads with one eye brow flat topd forgrd pistons with forged i beams then the solid roller cam has a 680 lift which makes me have to have at least a 4000stall in a turbo 350 with a shift kit in it then have posi 4.10 gears to hold the rear end right which ima get new shocks nd tie the frame in to hold that power from twistin the frame....nd thanx for not knockin on me askin bout the heads or talk to me lik im stupid....i got the moneyo build a fast car but im not a rocket scientist bout buildin a fast *** car....the car this is going in is a z28 camaro t top. I kno not the best car to pick for the motor im buildin but i love camaros specially it being t top. ooh nd the carb is a 750 double pumper and the whole car is roller

If you seriously want 680 hp then you need to do the car first.tie the subframes, good traction bars that are tune able, the diff will need gears and a good centre section and c clip eliminator axles, drive shaft loop, transmission will need all the good parts to live behind that much power, roll bar is a good idea if you want to race,50/50 rear shocks... front suspension will take some planning,,,depending on if the car is driven on the street a lot.drag cars do not corner well, sports cars do not hook well. You have some work ahead of you, good luck and keep us posted with your progress.

Yep, gotta build the car up first to handle the power. About the heads, there's people who go around telling everyone not to waste money of those and blah blah blah. BUT, every single review i have seen on then is 100% positive. So I would definitely buy them. Only reason they're cheaper is because you aren't getting the brand name that comes with the more expensive heads. I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy them personally.
