I can't say that I have an opinion really, they look good. At any rate if you do get a set please post a follow up review. I know a bunch of people would be interested in a good set of affordable aluminum heads.

Quite an add! And all I have is a little shelf talker showing a pair.

These are the Pro series of heads. Pro Topline distributors are having a promo on them. I have sold/used them before and had no problems. Impressive machine work and nice castings. You can get up-grades in the internals.

PBM is a high performance parts distributor. Wholesale only.

heads

I glanced through the add and did not see the PBM name mentioned...Did i miss it???

I have a set of the PBM heads on my bench right now and they are no-where close to what that add describes....They are bare heads and will need at least 10 to 12 hours of work on them to get them in a usable condition....

I think there is some confusion about the different heads on the market right now...The PBM heads i got are the ones from china or what ever off shore place they are getting them from... I think the pro-action/topline is another story.....Different head... Make sure what you are buying is what you are buying...

The public cannot buy from PBM...actually PBM is a brand line from engine parts warehouse.... You need to be in the engine building/machine shop business to buy from them...

Kieth, the name on the thread was cut and pasted straight out of the ad on ebay. Not sure where on the page I got it, but I know its on there.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

It is pretty well known that these heads are the ProComp casting, sold under various names like Strike Force, Striker, Short Turn, and others that escape me right now. I have two sets in service with no problems so far but I will say to buy them bare or from a machine shop that spec's their own parts to put in them. You buy these complete online using the Pro Comp valves, springs, etc and you deserve to get garbage. Skip White in Tennessee is the only place I would currently buy them from complete online.

They need some hand finishing to be decent, but the buy-in price is good if you can do the work yourself or get a fair deal from a local shop.

bgtrkboy, sounds like you did it the best way for these castings.

These are not the Pro Topline casting, the Pro Topline/now RHS head is a lot better head, equal to Dart or Brodix.
