I know that Desktop Dyno and PCHotRod have the ability for you to put parameters in for the engine and car but I want something that compare actual parts on the market. For instance, I want to compare a Holley intake to an Edelbrock intake. Or Demon carb to a Holley Carb. I want to build a car/engine/tranny/suspension combination down to which bearings I use. Is there a program that will do this? And do the programs allow for virtual race like PCHotRod does? I don't have either one of these programs so any description would be helpful.

When it comes to engine building software, it's like the man says "How fast do you want to go"?
In other words, $$$ is the name of the game. There are programs available that will enable you to do the things you want. Check out this link for product & pricing: <a href="http://www.performancetrends.com/prices.htm" target="_blank">http://www.performancetrends.com/prices.htm</a> And this link has sample downloads: <a href="http://www.performancetrends.com/download.htm" target="_blank">http://www.performancetrends.com/download.htm</a> I'm sure there are many more, but this should give you some idea of the possibilities. Good luck and have fun. |
