Pearing into an original 57' Cadillac 365

This is the original 365 in a 57' Cadillac I picked up. I wanted this car for a while as an in town cruiser. I know if not this winter than the next I will pull the motor and do a complete rebuild, but I thought you might enjoy some pics of whats powering for the most part, a nearly all original survivor.
Motor as it was when I picked it up:

Makes you think of those "Why worry about engine sludge" commercials:

Useless crankcase vent someone put into a valve cover at one point with some nice metal flashing left over:

What you get in a new carb when you run a glass fuel filter with no filter element inside the glass:

Good find

I rode to school in one back in 59. Reminded me of a pregnant 57 Chevy. You can work with that 4 inch bore. I'd be watching Ebay for a 3 deuce setup for it if it were mine. Good find.

I know I already am. Im not cutting anything, but hot rodding with old parts is always awesome! But I've got too many current projects that I really am finding myself holding back so far on this one. I just got it streetable after it sat for ten years. Still plenty of issues but I can work with them. Here is what it looks like:
