Hey peoplez family problems has left me with a banged up blazer. The body work is just about done im priming it now. Im gonna paint it the stock tan with red and silver small micro paint. (my dad is forcing me to) Anyways im wanting to kick the paint job up a notch with a HOK universal pearl. Im really trying to find out what would look best any suggestions? With past experiences could you please tell me how much the pearl actually changes the paints color that much. Would it also be a good idea to add pimp flakes over the pearl? Help me out thanks, Chris

Pearls are fun until you need to repair or match them. When your doing your own car or have artist license from the owner then the fun kicks in
 Are you using the powdered Omni in the clear? i really like it and will spice up whatever base color you put it over.
Here's a bike I just did yet it's a white toyota pearl with even more pearl in the clear on top.

Im thinking about using House of Kolor light orange Pearl over the paint job on my blazer. This will be my first time using a pearl. Im just not wanting to mess up the car with a ugly color. Kno what im sayin? Or do you think that no matter what pearl I use it will always make any color look better? Thanks for your help homie, Chris

That's the thing though with pearls you don't know untill you see it. Unless you have seen it on a car and want to come close. Better to spray a test panel on cardboard or something first if your not sure. I'd say keep it simple first time and mix some powdered peal into your clearcoat. That way you'll have a easy time putting down a base color you like and yes the pearl in the clear will make it pop and be like no other.
