Pearl white paintjob

I see some pearl white paint jobs that you really can't tell they have pearl in them and some that are more dramatic like this. I really like this color and want to replicate it but I do not know how it was done (color of pigment and amount). Anyone have any recommendations on how to achieve this.
Thanks,
Scott

Get the paint codes from the car and dig in your wallet.. An overall pearl is really not that bad, you can add as much or as little pearl to get the effect that makes you happy...

The easiest way for a novice to paint a Pearl (I don't know if you are or not)

Is pick the white Pearl you want out of a color chip book or off the car of your choice.

Then, find a paint company that has the 3 stage Pearl in a two stage system
(base and clear) no mid coat.
Companies that I know are Spies, Standox, Debeers.

If you can get your desired color in a basic BC/CC system as Barry suggested, it will be much easier for you to apply and also much easier to repair. Another option might be to have your paint supplier do a color read off of a sample and then have a bc/cc formula made, mix up a pint of paint and do a test spray to verify if it's what you want before mixing up the total batch. I'd pick the whitest looking one you can find, some of the white pearls from the 90's sure were yellowish and butt ugly IMO. Bob

I can't tell from the pic but are you talking about something like the late model Caddy White Pearl?
