Post pearls

Hey HKing, or anyone else for that matter, have you ever painted with the pearls that you can get at an art supply store? I was wondering if they would be acceptable for automotive use. any idea?

Never tried it, never intend to. Why would you want to?

I would think if it was a pearl for urethane or the same kind of paint it could be done, but honestly the thought never crossed my mind.

Wouldn't try it. Pearls aren't that exspensive. Buy the bottle not by the ounce its cheaper. Later you can sell it to your friends. Shtick with the same medium, interbreeding creates things like a 5 legged frog or a 7 color/texture truck, its not pretty.

If you have an easy goin rep at your local paint store, you can proabably talk them into just giving you a little bit. NAPA let me borrow a couple bottles for a week when I was doing my phantom flames.
