peel and stick window tint

just wondering if any has used this stuff: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...atalogId-10101

and if so how well it worked, would be alot cheaper than having my windows done and peel and stick would be nice for my windows since they have those huge curves(59 ford) thatd make a normal tint you would buy a nightmare and not to mention bubbles and etc

I have tinted windows since '96....go pay someone to do it. Film now is all dyed with alloy particals so most wont turn purple or bubble up on you. The static stuff will go on smooth if you put water on it and then squeege the water out when it's against the window, but I don't recommend he static crap. I use Johnson window films and it's a good brand. As for the curved glass I shrink all my film to lay in one piece any good shop will do this and it will have no seems.

would but the window is cracked and i dont want to replace it until i paint my car next fall(hoping college will let me use their stuff and use my car as a project, which the rep said they should) figured id just rip the old one out so painting would be easier(especially the metal dash) if the static stuff works alrighti could just transfer it over or then go out have someone do it

could wait but w/o air the interior gets mighty friggin hot and i want to protect my inteiro that ive had done for itfrom fading etc

out of cruriosity how much you think itd cost to tint all the windows in this thing?

Suggest that you check around in your local area and find a professional that does window tinting. Others have told me, and I've seen some disasterous results with the "stick and peel".

Also, with the interior that you've completed, I sure would use a product that has a UV protectant in it. Make sure though, that there is no silicone in the product!
