The Dart heads end up being 1500 a pair for 308cc intake runner iron eagle heads but the chamber is 119cc. The edelbrock Performer high compression 100cc is 1900 a pair and the .200 dome pistons (for iron eagle) are 405 bucks no rings. The thing I'm wondering about is the 110cc exhaust port and 290cc intake runner seems a tad small on the performer heads. Pistons and dart heads are 1900 bucks and so are just the edelbrock performer heads.
Will the 290cc intake limit me? Perhaps just make it snappy? I'm not shooting for a high rpm engine like to top out at 6000 or 5800 rpm. I want enough tq and hp to get a 4600lb truck going in a hurry.
The guy I got the 454 from put a lot of work into rebuilding it. I havent gotten all of the details yet but its .60 over with flat top forged pistons. He said something about bottom end work too. Thats why I'm lookin into using what I've got with the performer heads (not performer RPM cause 110cc)
