Performer RPM Air Gap plenum divider info

I've got a Performer RPM (non Air Gap) and would like to modify the plenum divider to match that of the Air Gap.

Can someone with a Performer RPM Air Gap laying around please measure the depth and length of the cut-out in the plenum divider? Saves me guessing from pics.

Thanks.

i'm using the air gap.. don't know the numbers your looking for but i'd say 1/2" down and ~3" cut out... BUT... i closed mine in because it did not perform the way i liked it.. ran much better closed off..

Really? The plenum cut-out is the biggest difference between the Air Gap and the non-Air Gap (despite the name). On a test I found, the cut-out in the divider improved things all-round (this was in a big cam 383 exactly the same as I'm running).

What were your findings with and without the cut-out and what's the spec of your motor?

Bolt on the Performer RPM manifold as is and try it first AS IS.
Then experiment with a carb spacer or two to see the effect before you
shot yourself in the foot and- or fubar a good manifold.

A 1/2" OPEN spacer will almost duplicate the cut down plenum divider. The more cam, the more this will help the upper end.

I´m using a non rpm Airgap with a two inch open spacer.
I went from a four hole one inch to an open one inch then ended up using the two inch.
From idle to WOT improved, idled like a pig with the four holer.

Admittedly, my practice is to grind down the performer intakes divider. No more then a inch high. It is a good idea to port match them as well using a gasket template. You find it runs smoother, allowing more equal vacuum in the plenum. Gains in power are minor if at all, but the combined effort is hotrodding.
