Reducing the plenum divider has a much more profound effect on the low speed and midrange drivability that you will feel, than
any gain at the top end , that you probabily will never actually realize a actual performance gain.
Test with a carb spacer FIRST. Best at the drag strip, where you can get real +/- performance data.
The right air cleaner will make more difference.
The best carb spacers are made of WOOD. Edelbrock makes many wood ones in different styles.
You can fabricate your own, too.
