Performer RPM Airgap Intake

Just received an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake for a 351 windsor today. I have noticed that some of the RPM intakes have a milled down area in the plenum divider but mine does not. I am considering milling it down as this has shown benefit in the lower RPM range with improved torque/HP with a dyno test I read recently. What do you all think? If so, what are the dimensions: depth and width from those who have an RPM intake with the milled plenum divider. My carb will sit on a 5/16"insulator spacer.

The Ford RPM AG isn't milled, as you've seen. You can somewhat duplicate the effect of cutting the plenum by using a thin, open spacer to see if your combo responds to sharing both sides of the intake without having to commit to cutting yours sight unseen.

The divider could be grinded .75" cross 2/3 the divider like the SBC. Do not knife edge. This allows the mixture to equalize through the comon plenum space. Good for some type gain however small, and smoother idle characteristic. The RPM package is a pretty stout build level for performance. Good intake.
