Lots of info on the RPM cam here. I had this cam installed in my 355, until I switched it out for a solid last year. According to what I've read, it is an old design. It has a great rumble due to the 89* of overlap, but doesn't really have any low end. It was fine for what I used it for, but the Crane solid I installed is head and shoulders above the Eddy. (2 different animals) Again, I had it in a 355, maybe it would do better in a 383. I have the cam & lifters packed away in my garage if you want to give it a try, I'm sure we could work something out. (It has less than 1000 miles on it, and a dozen 1/4 mile passes) By the way, the time listed in my sig is with the rpm cam and 3.08 gears.

Pretty good street cam but as said above, no low end. If you want it for the idle and sound while cruising, it's good, but for racing, there are better choices.

350 .030 over. rpm cam/springs , rpm manifold, camel hump heads, 9,0:1, th350 2400stall, 3.73 rearend. 270ish rwhp on the dyno/14.4 in 1/4 i cant remember the speed. it was a heavy 78ish camaro.

not barely streetable in my book. say 10- 11" at a 1100 idle. nothing happening till 3500-4000 then hit the hydraulic lifter limitations.

its a good cam, rough, do more in a 4 speed.

i hear awesome things about the xe268 400" vortec combo, and the xe262 350" vortec combo. those are street cruiser monsters.
