Pertronix 111 on my 68 gto

I JUST INSTALLED PERTRONIX 111 ON MY 68 GTO,AND NOW I NEED TO SUPPLY A 12 VOLT SOURCE TO THE COIL. cAN I USE THE PINK WIRE COMING FROM IGN 1?
PLEASE ADVISE

I am not familar with the pink wire from ign 1 so I can't comment on it. Just use a switched 12V wire from the ignition switch.

follow the old wire back to the bulkhead connector on the firewall(drivers side near brake master) now tap into that wire, it'll be full voltage.. and run a new wire to your distributor..
when you do this and keep the old wire still connected, you by pass the resistor wire.. but you didn't cut it..
tape up the old wire end(at distributor) and if the new set up dies.. you can pop the points back in. untape the old wire and plug in your distrubutor and drive off..
