Post Pete and Jakes

We are getting ready to take a first baby step and order our frame for a 34 project. We have looked at a ton frames and it seems that they are for the most part in the same price range. Pete and Jakes are close to me and that has been a real plus!!! Is there any comments either postive or negative about this company? Here is a link to the website Pete and Jakes There is lots of options so I will post a thread about the options later.

dhaza, Is your body glass or metal? reason i'm asking. A friend of mine got a P&J chassis. He has a metal 34 body. P&J did the frame for a glass body. which did't fit. The K members were to high. On a Metal body the body sits down over the body alittle. If you go with P&J make sure you tell them what kind of body you have. glass or metal. and make sure they put it writing. That way if it's not right. It's all in writing.

Is P&J going to do the full roller or just the frame?

We are going to do glass on this one. They bragged a lot about glass or metal fitting because they use the standard Ford body mounts locations -- that is interesting that the metal body didn't fit. We were going to let them do a full roller since I do not have access to a welder. I just like the idea that they are within 150 miles from me -- good old eye to eye contact is worth a lot .

Let me know when you going to P&J. If i can work it i might meet you there. I only live about 20 miles away.
You need to talk to Jerry he's the owner, or Jason he's the son. Jason dose most of the work. since Jerry is going blind. ( to much welding over the years)
They told my friend to bring back the chassis and they would make it right. but it was to late, he already cut the body to get it to fit the frame. The bolt holes algined up great. The ony thing wrong was the K member was to high for the body to sit on. For fiberglass body it would of been all right.
