Photochopped the Monte.

Whatcha' think?

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I doubt I would run the stripes but the Landau top will definitely be history along with the white side moldings. I may try droppin' it a couple inches and putting some 17" Cragar's on it later.

Gotta keep the rocker moldings but yes the belt line molding must go and the stripes aren't growing on me but I haven't found a plain red cowl hood at a close enough angle to chop onto it yet. I'm going to have to run some type of scoop, I have found that these don't have all that much hood clearance. Rather surprising and disappointing, I had planned to keep the body as stock as possible but the intake setup I will be using won't clear and allow enough air cleaner height to let it breathe with the stock hood..

From the number of viewers that haven't commented I'm guessing most of them either have no opinion either way or don't like it and are being polite. C'mon guys whether you love it, hate it or think "it's just OK" let me know, I rather find out now than after it's done. This is just a 1st attempt my feelings will NOT be hurt.

I like it, it looks alot better without the top. Im also with Helrazr on the side molding. It just makes it looks to "pimpish" I guess you could say.

LOL, my buddy told me I should get a big floppy hat if I'm going to keep it, he HATES it with a passion. The side moldings were already on the delete list. Thanks for the input.

Eliminating that vinyl top definitely helps. The cowl should match, as should the T-tops. Take that belt off of it. I can't really tell in the photo, but is that a different color or just shadow between the belt-line molding and the rockers? Bring the nose down some.

I can't seem to get the paint right on the cowl and stripes, but the attached image has the other stuff. Maybe some crazy person or elky driver can paint it.

That's just shadow on the sides. Paint my T-tops?! I just bought a set of NOS tops today!!! Sorry man but that I can't do. It would be OK if they were like a piece of the roof cut out like on the Vettes but with all the framework and glass that wouldn't look too good besides it's nice having the glass in the top. I tried changing the stripes to body color too but I can't get it right either, the jury is still out on the stripes vs. body color hood. I'll keep looking for a good pic of a red cowl hood to try. Thanks for the input.

You know there are things that are far worse than having your T-tops painted...

ROTFLMFAO........... I know people that would actually do that to a car! But they'd have about 800 truck clearance lights on it as well and Playboy bunny mud flaps. I'm not kidding either. That's funny, I've got tears in my eyes.
