Check out this link. I did this on a search, and there are a couple you might like to give you an ideal how it would look.

Do I detect a convert from Matte Black? I'm hoping the clouds have and heavens have opened for you and you feel you may have seen the light...LOL. If you've decided to go to color...maybe take a look at some of the Oranges they have in PPG Vibrance collection...Every PPG Jobber should have the chip book...Part # DOX600. Some real awesome tri coat Oranges in either the Radiance collection or the Liquid Crystal collection...IMO, well worth a look.

Do I detect a potential convert from a Matte finish to shiny color? If you are looking at going Orange, PPG's Vibrance Collection may be worth a look. Every PPG Jobber should have a Vibrance Collection chip book, part # DOX600...Check with either the Radiance or Liquid Crystal Oranges...stunning color. The Truck in the pictures is Burnt Orange, it's a Blue metallic base with a transparent Orange over top...here are a couple of pictures with the during and after.

I showed the flames because they where airbrushed in several different (7 to be exact) shades of blue metallic as well.

Yes I'm making the move from the Hot Rod primer look and going to a glossy shine colored finish. Thats some very nice work there by the way Ray. Thanks for sharing..

Well sir, that makes my day...So glad your going in that direction...it's really none of my business as to what paint you put on your car, as I mentioned, to me the car is to Iconic, to beautiful to hide with a dull finish. If I can help in any way, please feel free to ask, I'll help where I can.

I don't know if it was the feelings expressed by myself and others on this site that made you reconsider...In a way, I hope it was, that way my evangelical work is done...LOL

To be honest with you Ray I have owned alot of toys in my day. Many HD bikes that were all custom painted. Also classic cars , trucks, and hot rods which were all painted in glossy paint. I have never owned anything that was in "Hot Rod Primer" per say. I'm not knocking it in any way because I know there are lots that truely love the look. However, Bright colors, gloss, & shine are for me. With that being said I just have to make up my mind. Orange is my favorite color and has been on many of my toys but I have a soft spot for a Teal Blue shade that I have always liked but have never used. Thats why I wanted a nice photoshop to compare and help me make a decision.

Understood, and I know that the guys with Matte finishes love their rides as much as the guys with shiny finishes....it's just that shiny never goes out of style...LOL

I'm with ya all the way on shiny paint on a hot rod...

Hugger Orange is a good start but there are so many other orange shades and metallics that really bring the surface to life.

I'm also a fan of Aqua Turquoise and am in the process of procuring a car to paint just that color.
