That is definitely an electric Orange. Thats a beautiful looking paint job. Love the dash gage cut outs. Are the end cut outs for air? I'm sure you can't wait to see it all together.

Great job i wish i was that far along, that does not look like stock
door handles. What are they? Keep us posted on your progress.

The color is 1969 Dodge Hemi Orange and yes the holes on each end are for air conditioning. The glove box was moved three inches to the left to make room for the duct on the passengers side and all the instrument cut outs are recessed 3/4".

The door handles are Mazda Miata pieces and the latch mechanisms and interior handles are from an 85 Toyota Celica. There is a page on my web site that explains how to install them.

Looks really nice! But got a bit of over spray on the chassis and tires. I noticed you didn't paint the floor. Do you paint that area with anothrer kind of paint? If so why? Do you live near the Boonshoft museum area, Centerline? The trees reminded me of that area. We were just down there for a weekend before Halloween. My daughter won a coloring contest and we got free tickets and a behind the scence look at the museum, plus tickets to the Dayton Philharmonic. Was a fun weekend.

Yep just a little. Went out today and wiped it off with a little lacquer thinner and a rag.
I didn't paint the floor because it's already coated with epoxy primer. It will have sound deadener and carpet over it so it'll never show.
I live not far from the Air Force Museum, where one of the planes I flew sits on display. F-4D tail # 4829.

Keep us posted as you go. If the rest of the truck turns out like that it'll be NICE! I've been to the Airforce museum a couple of times. I did get to fly a plane once. A small Cessna. My old sunday school teacher had it and let me try my hand at it. He also rebuilt an older plane. I don't remember what it was but I know it was aluminum cause he had to buck rivets while putting it back together. Flying was a totaly awesome experience. You not only look out around you but above and below so you don't hit antennaes and wires. Felt weird doing that.
