***PICS*** Sears Point Vintage Drags...

Went to Sears Point on Sunday with my friend, and former AA/Gas racer Tim. Had a great day, saw some close races....hung around while the Goodguys Marshall's tried to clear up oil-downs.....

Anyway....on with the show... Tim built & raced this Brad Anderson HEMI powered Willys until he sold it, the build quality is top class. It ran in the 6.7's Sunday!!

There were a LOT of Willys there.....

the Nitro Nationals at Infineon are just once a year that I know of. I don't think they host any other nostalgia drag racing besides that one

Just the one time, as mentioned above, there is also the March Meet...in March! and the November meet, they are both at Bakersfield, details of the schedule can be found on the Goodguys website http://www.good-guys.com/

Sweet. They had a lot of old drag cars at Indy last year for the 50th u.s Nats. When the Altered Fuelers ran,you paid attention. They kicked down that 1/4 mile so quick and you could tell with the solid axle they were having one hell of a time keeping that thing in their lane, let alone centered.Looks as though that was a real good time.

This is cool. If your camera has the B&W setting, snap a pic of the control tower or the cars when they run the nostalgia classes. This was inn 2004,looks older though, unless you just study the picture.

Ron,
I like the B&W, you should go to Daves site, he has a ton of black and whites that look "older than they are"

I used to have a "snake" hotwheel funny car as a kid, I wouldnt mind owning the real thing!!
