Pictures of the cornbinder

A Couple Of Months Ago I Did Some Test Photos Some Of You Guys Asked For The Finished Job. Well I Finally Found Them Here They Are. The Truck Was Lowered 8 Inches. The Front End Is From A 1978 Caprice Wagon. So Is The Engine ,tranny, and Rear. The Brake Booster And Master Cylinder Are From A 1986 S-10.

I always liked the lines of the old Binders, I hope you have an "IH" emblem on it somewhere though. They were solid old trucks, they deserve to be remembered.

when I took classes in diesel mechanics out at the county educational center (think college but high school credits and its free), they had an old IH, gas engine, holley carb, 4speed. It was a single rear axle "mini-semi" I guess one could describe it in common terms. It had old Air Force ID tags on it dating from the Vietnam War Era. The engine caught fire the year before I got there, it's nickname was fireball.

They also had an old Ford F250 with a gas engine. I'd guess it was a 390. I'd love to adopt those but I think the school sold the IH, dunno about the Ford. That Ford be good for the engine and tranny, not a whole lot else.
