Pimp suit,stogy and 97 caddy

OK just bought a car.Got a 1997 caddy for $200.The guy who owned it died his wife paid it off and just wanted it out cause it reminded her of him.
Anyway the car is in nice shape body 95% with one rust spot about the size of a dime on the edge of the license plate frame on the trunk lid and two hail dents in the rear pas. door.Interiour is imaculate!Motor runs smooth as a babys ***,its the 4.6 northstar V8.
Air needs a charge. And front tire were run low and need replacing.
Problem is it has 269,000mi.It was at one time a chouffer car for a limo service.
Whatcha think should I drive it or try and trade it in for a better used car??
I'm thinkin being a chouffer car its prolly been granny driven and serviced every 3000mi.Think so or do ya think 269,000 is drop dead at any moment time??

unless its a toyota, I wouldnt trust any car with 269k miles, I'd almost go as far as saying you got ripped off on the price!!

however, unless you are putting at the very least a new engine/tranny in it. I would be worried how long its gonna last...

you can go to sites like edmunds.com and kbb.com (kelly blue book) and get a reasonably fair estimate what you could expect for a trade in, or private sale..

I'd ditch that thing quicker than a chick who said she had the clap.
Chauffer driven cars would only be driven nicely while a customer was in the car I am sure, just like any car that does not belong to the driver, then it is balls to the walls. With that many miles it probably picked up alot of buisness men at the airport who had to be at their meeting twenty minutes ago too.

Well the suite is at the cleaners and I'm waiting for a shipment of cubans.Anyway getting pics is a pain. But I can say the body is in very nice shape. The one little rust spot is about the size of a diem and only light surface and two faint dents in the door like hail dents or a car door hit it in a parking lot.Paint is prime.
I'm thinkin of tradin it up for another used car.Especially after i looked up the price of parts. It has electronic ride control stuff and Shocks are $375ea rear and $475frt.

For $200 drive it like you stole it, with those miles you aren't going to get much of a trade and they're just tacking the "trade in" onto the price of what you're buying anyway. Right now if it goes belly up on you it's worth $140 a ton as scrap...............

Nah I'm on AOL now(worse huh??)Got an HP pavilion that I don't know how to work.lol
Anyway I rank the northstar tranny allong with mountain climbing there both two things I will never expieriance in life.
I'm wondering if this car has had a motor/or rebuild it runs smooth as glass.I can't imagine anything w/ that many miles running this good.

i agree 100% drive it till it dies its a lot of miles but it didnt get that many miles on it by not running well especially if it runs nice now just treat it right and dont beat it. i bet you'll get some good use out of her good luck.
