Pinto drag car gets loose down track
Ok guys, we have been working on a 73 Pinto tube chassis car, ladder bar suspension, Strange coil overs w? 110# springs, Strange struts up front w/ 225# springs. 2400# with driver, 650hp 406sbc with a powerglide, 14x32 slicks. We have been battling this car to get it to launch and stay straight down the track. We finally got the launching part ironed out somewhat with a 1.29 60' tonight, but now the car skates around from 330'- the 1/8th mile, peddling it several time he ran a 6.36, then the next pass, he ran a 6.09 still having to feather it most of the way. Has anyone had any problems like this? Or any suggestions on where to start looking?
