place to buy oem match basecoat

where can you buy oem match basecoat online . i have used the valspar it worked good but the guy went out of business and now they sell sherwin williams . is sherwin williams any good. just want to respray my truck.

S-W will do the job just fine. But to get a color that is closer to the OEM paint that was on it you need to step it up to the high cost lines and stay away from the "value lines" which don't have nearly the color fomulation backing them up.

S-W "Ultra/BASE" for instance. But PPG, DuPont and the others all have high quality upper end stuff. One way to find out where to get the paint is simply stop by a bodyshop in town and ask them where they get their paint.

i am going to repaint the whole truck so the match will not have to be exact. the dupont was 134.00 a quart, WOW. i just want the truck to look new, no show truck. the sherwin williams dimension was 204.00 a gallon 2-1 mix, 15.20 a quart for reducer. big difference.

the shrewin williams will require twice the amout of paint because it is so thin. Try to see if somone carries gentec by you 1/2 the price of the name brands the same quality and color match. If you can not find it pm me
