plasma cutter

A while back I asked about the HarborFreight el-cheapo TIG welder, and ended up buying one. It really worked pretty well, especially in the learning phase, and was of course spectacular for the price of $200. Now I wonder if anyone has any experience with HarborFreight's plasma cutter, which they sell for $600.

I bought one from Homier after the holidays and it works really well. Its a Speedway series, 30 amp 220volt and it will cut any part on the car, for only $359 pluss shipping.

It is www.homier.com and it is now $399 + $20 shipping, but the price seems to vary a bit. Harborfreight has apparently responded, and dropped their version from $599 to $499. The blessings of free competition. Stay tuned.

I am not sure about the HF plasma cutter, but I have a Miller Spectrum 625. Me and my brother bought 2 years ago, used it maybe 20 times.
Thought we needed it. Even with me, my brother, and dad using it still hard to justify the price. Great for cutting body panels or light metal. But it is still hard for us to get away from the cutting torch! so fast so much FIRE!!! lol
