Please Help

I have a 1978 Malibu with one center speaker in the dash. The speaker is blown and I can't get to it to get it out. I took out the glove box no luck there and and tried from the other side. And I don't think I can take the dash off since I have a dash cover on it. Is there any other way. Do you think I can go through the vent right in front of the speaker I think the speaker sits right in behind it but I am not for sure. Please help if this helps any the speaker size is 3 1/2.

Removing the radio is the best way to get in there.

Why not forget about that puppy, they are crap anyways, and put in 4 decent stereo speakers. Probably would want to put in a nice stereo too.........
