I picked up a used T56 from a '97 camaro that had been converted to a push type throwout bearing. Someone put in this pressure plate and clutch and I'm having trouble identifying them. The clutch is pretty worn out so I need to order a replacement, seems like I should get the one that goes with the pressure plate.
The closest clutch I can find is the RAM 900 at summit. It isn't quite the same, though:
RAM 900 Series Clutch Discs 920 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
That looks like an expensive clutch for an extreme application. This is a street car that will see some occasional autocross days and drag strip nights. Thinking I might be better off just ordering a clutch/plate kit.
The car has a GEN I 350 block. I just put on a RAM 1510 153 tooth 17lb flywheel that the clutch/plate will bolt onto:
RAM Billet Steel Flywheels 1510 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
This is the throwout bearing I'll be using, a Quarter Master 721100
Any advice?
