Nope, it had the 300 Special, and just 'glistened' maroon in the very light misty rain, 2 evenings before. It was a Wildcat, with low mileage.

They would not extend credit to my parents, and I could not stand to see my mother cry.

Yea i have a old 3 speed trans out of a 68 fairlane i had, it has a similar shifter setup on it. With the long tail also but someone some time down the road changed it from a column shift to a floor shift and put the offset shifter bracket on it . Cole
