Check the diagnostic connector on the harness donor car. That will tell you if it is obd 1 or 2. I wouldnt think that would matter as obd 2 is only a diagnostic protocal designed to standardize access of diagnostic info . As long as all the sensors are there and all the plugs plug in it will probably work fine.

It will work as long as the plug ins match up to the sensors on the engine. Also the OBD 2 system has an EEPROM which stands for Electronically Erasable Program Only Memory which is better than changing the PROM as you dont even need to pull the computer out to do so.OBD 2 is nice because of the EEPROM you can custom tune all the parameters ( If you have the pass through device and the software) the only difference may be the MAF and that could be as simple as plugging in the obd 2 device. I tried to check part numbers but couldnt access them. However 94 -96 airflow sensor looks the same as far as plugging it in and location/installation. I would perform this swap fearlessly as I believe it will work just fine

The cop car PCM would be kool. It is probably flashed with a good performance tune and probably doesnt have a speed limiter in place. plug and play.
