Please help me identify this SBC cam
Ok, cam is for an SBC and was given to me. Starting from the very back these are the markings note my digital camera is horrible, and it is not allowing me to upload photos at all,
B247-9(or maybe a 4?)8 then c-10 and CWC 88-40 and three large circular bumps d-10 and then GM c8- 05 the cam has a large purple painted band on it by the distributor drive gear area, can someboby please help me with this thing???

have you tried SBC web site? You might get some answers from 'year one' as well they specialize in GM.
