Please help steering collumn install
I have an 82 gm pickup collumn and a 55 2nd ser truck with heidts MII crossmember does anyone have any info ,tech Articles or experience or project journals on this feat? I have already ordered my 2 borgeson joints and steering shaft from CPP to adapt the collumn to the power rack, But I have not figured out the drop piece I need from the dash or the firewall/floorboard mount I need. I have searched everything I can on this site but can't find anything maybe I'm not searching correctly. Thanks greatly Lil John

Put the column through the hole in the floor, sit on the seat and hold the steering wheel up where you like it, then measure from the bottom of the dash to the center of the column..that's your drop. You will probably want to get the swivel type drop with the wiring and ignition cutout in the bore.
Later, mikey
