Back in '90 at the ripe old age of 21, I painted my first car in the father-in-laws storage garage. It was a Torino...and had a pale 70's green (white vinyl top) that I hated. Thought it would look better black, so went to the local auto body supply and bought a gallon of black laquer (had NO idea what I was doing). When I got done it looked rough...but at least it was black ! I remember a few months later it spider cracked like crazy and you could see green underneath
Moving forward 20 years...decided it was time to try my hand at painting again, having a few more resources and patience. I've been reading this forum for a number of months now and have learned a TON of "modern" information. Thanks all for taking the time to post...it helps those of us novices learn and grow our abilities.
I'll be honest...been having a blast learning. I bought a cheap Mustang for the boy and decided the old man might have some fun painting. The engine bay is FULL of holes on these Fox bodies, so have spent the last few months smoothing the bay and snapped some picts. after priming tonight.
