I heard on flat tappet solid cams if you purchase quality poly locks you probably would only have to readjust valve lash once a year. Is this true? The sbc only sees 2000-3000 miles a season and street driven but very spirited driving. Cam would be limited somewhere in .550-.560 lift. Thanks for the feed back.

yeah the poly locks are great. once you get the lash set you back the lock off a 1/4 turn tighten the center set screw down hand tight, then turn both the set screw and the nut the 1/4 turn back tight. they'll never move if you do them like that. just make sure you get the lash right the first time cause its a pain in the *** to lossen them after you do it like this. BTW- even the cheap poly locks work great. have fun
