Post Pontiac 4 speed

What 4 speed transmission came in the late 60's mid 70's big block Gto & Trans Am cars? and would these be worth swapping into a one ton GMC?

The GM cars of this era had either Muncie or Saginaw four speed. Both are good transmissions for light vehicles and the Muncie is generally accepted as the better transmission. Don't think the effort would be worthwhile to attempt putting either one into a 1-ton truck, IMHO.

Hey dude, if you're looking for the big bad A55
4-speed, that would be a M-22 Rockcrusher, she'd work good in your pick-up, if you don't care about mind altering gear whine from those tough, straight cut gears.
