Pontiac Heads
Does anyone know if Edelbrock is now making aluminum D-port heads similar to that of Kauffman racing. What are the best iron heads offered by Pontiac? I have a nice pair of 6x's. Thanks Rob

6xs are great heads. A little uninspired with the open chambers, but if you want pump gas these days you're pretty limited to open chamber heads. 4x are also similar ports, but most have an even larger chamber.
I put some shaved 6x on my 389 to drop the compression to 8.5:1. Despite the lower compression I picked up some serious seat-of-the-pants drivability with the added flow. |
