Yes, the 400 heads will fit the 455. Pontiac made numerous different cylinder heads for their v-8s. Search the knowledge base on this website and you will find what you are looking for. www.wallaceracing.com is good information for you Pontiac fans.

Head Info

Wallace raceing is a great head info sight, the heads you want to use are 6x4 they are great for the street and on a 455 engine will put your compression at 9.5 to 1................

I'm very impressed just by looking at these. They may be something you want to look at too.

I'll be ordering a set of those puppies within a couple of weeks adryan...

dogchow - they'll bolt right on but depending on what cc they are your compression may jump up requiring the use of higher octane gas. Just something for you to think about with todays crappy gas.

6567GTO, I AM JEALOUS! I want to see pics when they're on.

With your compression, you also need to take into account what your dynamic compression ratio is, which is much more important than your static. When people say, "I'm running 10:1 in it", they're referring to static. However, dynamic is dependent on cam timing and some stroke numbers. With the right cam, you can run those high compression heads with pump gas.
