Not sure which category to post this in so here goes.

Does anyone know the real hp of the 1970 Pontiac Ram Air III & IV engines? I have read Pontiac under rated these engines at 366 & 370 hp but what was the real hp number?

I never really heard an exact figure and weather this helps or not, I did dyno my 69 Ramair 1V judge about 12 years ago.

Here are the facts if of any value to anyone.
Engine had 65,000 miles and untouched.
4spd
factory 4.33 rear 12 inch.

It dynoed at 402-405 at rear wheels, so not sure how much HP was lost in drive train, not sure if this will help much and I can't remember the TQ numbers or RPM, only reason i did it is a friend wanted to and it was free.

Just got text from the friend involved and he thought it was 395-410 hp, so looks like we are pretty close in agreement, he also could not remember TQ or RPM.
