Post pontiac rocker studs

I picked up a pontiac prodject motor its a 455,trw40 over slugs for around 11to 1 compresion,31 ram air1 heads,lunati hyd cam with 490lift,I,m new to pontiac, need to know if the stock rockers will be OK? and can I use chevy rocker studs if I switch to rollers?Thanks for any info,Wayne

The heads should have screw in studs. If they don't, get a set of ARP's 7/16" studs. Stock rockers should work fine - they are probably 1.5:1 ratio, although some ram air heads had 1.65:1 ratio rockers. You'll have to research and find which ones you have. You'll also need to know how much lift your springs can take, you will want to leave .075" before coil bind. In my 455, I ran stock ratio harland sharp rollers with good luck on the screw in studs.
