pontiac th350 M31 auto trans

can anyone give information about the pontiac TH350 M31 auto trans.at the top of the bellhousing are the letters C4 and it has an externally adjustable band adjuster.am told it also has a lock up converter and has a blue 4 pin plug on the drivers side.i would like to use it in a drag car i am building.

lock up convertors

I have never used one in a high perf application but I have heard negative things from people who have.

That sounds like TH250C.
They make very good boat anchors.
I wouldn't put this in anything but a snow bank.
